Theresa Mohammed, Partner at international law firm Trowers & Hamlins has received the award for Best Woman in Construction at last night's European Women in Construction & Engineering (WICE) Awards.

She was recognised at a ceremony on the 24th May 2017 at the Hilton Bankside, London.

The European Women In Construction & Engineering Awards has been designed to find the most exemplary women within construction and engineering across Europe, and to encourage companies to employ and train more women in these sectors.

Theresa, who has worked at the firm since 2010 was commended by the judges for making 'truly exceptional individual contributions to the construction and engineering industries'.

Working in the Dispute Avoidance and Resolution Team, Theresa specialises in contentious construction. She has extensive experience of acting for employers and main contractors, making High Court applications and the Enforcement of Adjudicators' decisions in the Technology and Construction Court. She is also Chair of the National Association of Women in Construction.

Theresa commented:

"I am extremely honoured to receive this award. It was a great evening and a true celebration of the work that women are doing in the construction industry and I am delighted to be a part of that. I am passionate about having a positive impact in the industry, and this recognition, amongst the great women in construction is fantastic."
