Join us for a debate on what the public procurement regime could look like post Brexit.
The Trowers & Hamlins procurement team are delighted to be joined by guest speaker, Professor Peter McDemott of Salford University to analyse the opportunities that this once in a lifetime socio-political upheaval will give to take back control of public procurement in the UK. Peter will consider how Brexit has brought renewed focus on the potential of industrial strategy as a policy instrument and the panel will discuss the following key questions:
Can procurement be an effective tool to promote national and regional economic growth and development?
Can social policy be driven through public procurement procedures?
Could public bodies be encouraged to focus on procuring with rather than from the private sector?
We are conducting a short survey to capture your views on the shape of the post Brexit procurement regime.

We will be presenting the results of the survey at the seminar.
