Uncertainty continues to be the underlying theme as public sector entities plan and execute their major projects. Although the impacts of Covid are at their lowest ebb since the pandemic began, supply chain issues and inflation are having an increasing effect on the global landscape. Throw into the mix a raft of proposed legislation announced in the Queen's speech in May and the world of public procurement is far from clear as we look ahead.
The big news in the public procurement world is the publication of the Procurement Bill. This edition of the update took a look at how the proposals mentioned in the Procurement Green Paper and consultation are being brought into law. We also took a look at recent case law and Procurement Policy Notices and considered what the Digital, Data and Technology Playbook has to say about tech purchasing in the public sector.
