How can we help you?

International law firm Trowers & Hamlins provided input into the Government’s Construction Playbook launched today. The Playbook sets out key policies and guidance for how public works projects and programmes are assessed, procured and delivered.

Furthermore, the playbook re-sets government procurement priorities and emphasises value-led procurement as well as introducing core tools such as 'Project Scorecard' and the 'Value Toolkit', which will reinforce value-led behaviours.

The revised system sets out the benefit of collaborative behaviours and alliancing with greater focus on building positive relationships with robust contract management between project leads and industry.

Rebecca Rees, partner at Trowers & Hamlins, commented:

"This is a new dawn for construction projects in the UK. These changes will make a fundamental difference to how construction and procurement will be undertaken going forward and at Trowers we support the principles and processes set out in the playbook."
