International law firm Trowers & Hamlins has retained its top tier status in the latest edition of Chambers High Net Worth, a guide to the leading lawyers and law firms for regional, national and international private wealth.
The UAE team consolidated its position as a leading advisor on Private Wealth Law by achieving a band 1 ranking for the second consecutive year. Commentators noted that the UAE team were "excellent" and that the team have firmly established themselves as one of the leading advisors in the Middle East. Partner Alastair Glover was once again recognised as a leading individual in band 1, where he was praised for being "very thorough and methodical" and for his "knowledge and team ethos". Jordan Ellis also maintained his ranking as an associate to watch in the region.
In the UK, Trowers' Exeter office retained its position in band 2 for Private Wealth Law with Frank Cook also listed in band 2, where he was praised for being a "very secure lawyer and extremely knowledgeable" and "approachable and friendly."
There was further individual recognition for Exeter based Charisse Crawford, who solidified her status as one of the leading practitioners in the South West by ranking in band 1 for Private Wealth Disputes. Charisse was described as a "a rare gem who is technically sound and deeply cares for her clients" and "is a true expert in her field and can quickly grasp even the most complex of private wealth issues." Birmingham Partner, Helen Briant was also ranked for the first time in band 2 for Private Wealth Disputes where she was described as "always diligent and helpful" and was acknowledged for her expertise in domestic and international contentious trust and probate disputes.
