Join us for a seminar on the extension of Awaab's Law to the private sector and how the Build to Rent sector can get ahead of the curve before the Renters Rights Bill is enacted.
The seminar will also include an exclusive presentation by Aico on how their innovative HomeLINK Connected Home Solution can revolutionise asset management and compliance for the Build-to-Rent (BTR) sector.
The event will be held at Trowers & Hamlins' office in Manchester on 25 February 2025, at their new Birmingham office on 18 March 2025 and at their London office on 3 April 2025 from 11am and finishing at 2.30pm – with networking and lunch included.
The Renters Rights Act is due to come into force this summer and one of the less talked about issues is the Government's pledge to extend Awaab's Law to the entire private sector. This will impose strict timelines on landlords to investigate and deal with potential hazards reported by tenants. A failure to comply will mean tenants could pursue compensation claims against their landlords. With no win no fee solicitors always being keen to grow their market, the Build to Rent Sector could be seen as a target for claims.
These sessions will provide a fantastic opportunity to understand what the new provisions mean and how to get ahead of the no win no fee lawyers.
In these sessions attendees will:
- hear from Dorota Pawlowski and Faye Craggs from Trowers who will discuss the legal considerations and strategies for risk management;
- and hear from AICO on how their cutting-edge technology empowers landlords with actionable insights, streamlines disrepair reporting, and enhances tenant satisfaction
The sessions are aimed at those who own and manage Build to Rent properties.
If you would like to attend, please register using the RSVP buttons at the top of the page.
We look forward to seeing you there.
