The workplace has changed and continues to change. Over the summer, press reports have suggested that the tide has turned and some employers are winding back the flexible and hybrid working arrangements that were embraced after the pandemic.
However, the real question is, can productivity be maintained in a hybrid working environment, or are managers right that real productivity depends on presence in the office? Perception is very different between different groups. Research done last year by Microsoft revealed 85% of leaders think less work is being done by their staff since the pandemic, whereas 87% of employees think they are more productive. So who is right?
