How can we help you?

In 2023, Trowers & Hamlins joined forces with Exeter City Community Trust (ECCT), a leading charitable organisation, in a powerful alliance that seeks to drive social change and enhance the well-being of individuals in Exeter and beyond.

ECCT is Exeter's leading health and wellbeing charity working in partnership with Exeter City Football Club. They deliver inspiring physical activity, education, health and wellbeing programmes, and courses for the community. They spend over 45,000 hours out in the community every year striving to improve life chances for all, often in the most deprived areas of Greater Exeter.

Each year, their wellbeing, inclusion, and sports participation teams and programmes reach more than 50,000 members of the South West community with activities including:

  • delivering food, prescriptions, and other essential supplies;
  • calls to the socially isolated by telephone befrienders;
  • more than 2,000 young people participating in holiday activity and food programmes;
  • over 95,000 miles covered by runners per year in their running events programme;
  • 200+ girls and women engaged weekly as part of their female football pathway;
  • more than 15 parasports squads currently playing blind, deaf, amputee, down syndrome, and pan disability football; and
  • over 95 beds for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in their supported housing scheme.

Trowers & Hamlins employees have actively engaged in various initiatives led by ECCT. These include participating in meaningful initiatives such as the Sporting Memories and Social Café. Additionally, our staff members have dedicated their time to volunteer at Killerton, a National Trust property, and have contributed to the Holiday Activity Food Programme by delivering Christmas hampers to those in need as well as providing enriching activities and meals for disadvantaged children during school holidays. Furthermore, Trowers & Hamlins has supported the River Run 10k, Halloween Run, and Santa Run.

These collaborative endeavours exemplify the commitment of Trowers & Hamlins and ECCT to making a meaningful difference in the community.

Jamie Vittles
, CEO at Exeter City Community Trust, highlights the significant impact of the partnership between Trowers and ECCT:

"We've been delighted to work with Trowers & Hamlins as one of our community partners.

Community partnerships are invaluable to us. They enhance the impact and reach of our work, while fostering stronger bonds within the community. By collaborating, we can share resources, pool expertise, and tackle issues more effectively.

Thanks to your support, it's been a positive start to 2024, with 145 staff and volunteers delivering 48 initiatives out in the community in support of our mission to help people to start well, live well, and age well.

Through your involvement we've been able to strengthen our staff bank, delivering to underrepresented groups within Exeter's community. Your team's energy, enthusiasm, and dedication have helped us bring about meaningful change, whether it's through supporting our Health & Wellbeing programmes, aiding our running events, or co-curating set-piece events. Thank you as always."
