Managing employee behaviours can be a tricky business in the modern workplace.
Employees are now working in lots of different ways and locations, with a varied range of expectations when it comes to things like working hours, communication styles and socialising. One employee's preference can easily be another's pet peeve and it can be difficult for employers to know when to intervene (or not) without creating unnecessary risk. With employees being more vocal about their wants and needs in the workplace, it can also be hard to judge the line between acceptable boundary setting and obstructive behaviour. But if things just aren't working, what can employers do?
Emma Burrows, Danielle Ingham and Tom Stephenson discussed their experience of these issues and the practical steps employers can take towards creating a harmonious workplace.
