International law firm, Trowers & Hamlins, has signed up with the European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC) to become its first official supporting member. FIEC is the internationally recognised voice of the construction industry in Europe.
Created in 1905, FIEC represents 32 national Member Federations in 27 countries' (24 EU & Norway, Switzerland and Ukraine) construction enterprises of all sizes, including small and medium-sized organisations, alongside larger, global players, undertaking all forms of building and civil engineering activities.
As a supporting member Trowers & Hamlins will promote enterprise between the EU and UK built environment sectors, providing legal expertise and a UK perspective to FIEC's key initiatives.
Tim Hillier, Partner at Trowers & Hamlins, commented:
"We are extremely proud to be the first official supporting member of the European Construction Industry Federation. This complements both our ongoing presence in the European construction market and the work we undertake for European and UK contractors involved in infrastructure and engineering projects across the continent. We very much look forward to working with members of FIEC, and the FIEC commission groups, in building a truly resilient and sustainable construction industry that works for all."
