International law firm Trowers & Hamlins has further strengthened its Projects, Energy and Infrastructure (PE&I) team with the appointment of partner Brad Sandford.
A senior finance lawyer, Brad has 14 years’ experience advising the world's leading financial institutions, export credit agencies, international sponsors, borrowers, governments and government related entities. Brad joins Trowers from Ashurst where he has worked since 2012 in the London and Dubai offices. From November 2019 until January 2023, Brad was seconded to the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) in Tokyo for three years, where he was the sole lawyer advising the Social Infrastructure Finance Department on a wide range of projects of global importance.
Commenting on Brad's appointment, Hasan Rahman, Trowers partner and co-head of the International Projects, Energy & Infrastructure team said:
"Brad is a brilliant addition to our UAE offices and to the PE&I team. His extensive experience, both in terms of his broad project finance practice and especially in the financing of renewables and social infrastructure projects across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, will be a great fit for Trowers and I very much look forward to working with him and further building out our significant PE&I offering across the Middle East and beyond."
Brad added:
"Trowers' Projects, Energy and Infrastructure practice is renowned in the UAE and the wider region for the quality of its lawyers, its dependability and its breadth of experience. I am delighted to join the team and excited to collaborate with our clients in navigating the unique challenges and opportunities they face in the local and international market.”
