International law firm, Trowers & Hamlins, has appointed leading projects specialist Ignatius Hwang to its new Singapore office, where he will help spearhead the firm's focus on the Asian energy and infrastructure sector.
Ignatius brings with him more than 30 years’ experience advising on energy, infrastructure and resources projects in Asia Pacific and the Middle East. He is particularly renowned for his market-leading work in Singapore public-private partnership (PPP) projects. He has advised the Singapore government on almost every PPP project in Singapore to date and has very much helped shaped the development of the PPP model in Singapore.
Ignatius was previously managing partner for three US law firms in Singapore, as well as leading the Energy and Resources practice at another global firm.
He has been consistently recognized in leading legal directories and publications, including Legal 500 Asia Pacific, Chambers Asia-Pacific, Best Lawyers, Who’s Who Legal, and IFLR. A graduate of the University of Singapore, he is fluent in Mandarin and English and also speaks Malay, Cantonese and Fujian.
