Trowers & Hamlins has advised Calypso Rose, founder and mastermind behind the successful London-based gift experience company, The Indytute on the sale of the company.
Founded in 2013, The Indytute offers unique, handpicked experience gifts and workshops in London, with activities ranging from food and drink experiences to walking tours and creative classes.
Calypso is a proud member of Buy Women Built (BWB), a powerhouse group of top UK brands founded and led by female entrepreneurs across sectors including consumer, food and drink, hospitality and healthcare. The group aims to drive change by raising awareness and championing UK's women-owned brands. Trowers & Hamlins is proudly in partnership with BWB acting as its legal advisers.
The transaction was run from Trowers & Hamlins' regional office in Exeter, with Dominic Ring (Senior Associate) and Jonathan Holloway (Associate) advising on the corporate aspects of the transaction, and Tom Stephenson (Senior Associate) providing employment advice.
