Law firm Trowers & Hamlins has won Deal of the Year at the Insider South West Residential Property Awards 2025 for a landmark joint venture between its clients, Lovell and LiveWest, to acquire a development site in North Devon for delivery of up to 820 new homes.
The Insider South West Residential Property Awards celebrate those who have raised the bar in the residential property sector, with shortlists and winners chosen by a panel of experts with decades of experience working within the sector.
This is the first joint venture to be struck between Lovell and LiveWest who each have a long history of partnership working and marks the start of a multi-phase, multi-year relationship which will see the creation of a new neighbourhood on the outskirts of Barnstaple over the next 10 years.
The judges praised the project for the 'substantial improvements it will bring to the community, with the delivery of a new primary school, neighbourhood hub and employment space, in a place where this is much-needed.'
