Following the success of our recent building safety webinar series, our upcoming mini-conference looked at the key aspects of the draft Building Safety Bill published on 20 July which proposes total regulatory reform to the fire and structural safety regime for all higher risk buildings.

We hosted six bitesize sessions with key expert speakers over two days, focusing on critical aspects of the Bill. The sessions covered:

Day 1:

  • Overview of the draft Building Safety Bill: the top five things you need to know
  • Construction and developments under the Building Safety Regime: Gateways and the Golden Thread
  • The Regulator, sanctions and enforcement

Day 2:

  • In-occupation phase and competency: the Accountable Person and Building Safety Manager
  • How can collaboration improve building safety
  • The draft Building Safety Bill: concluding remarks and essential next steps
