The hallmarks of the new JCT suite of building contracts
In March, the Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) launched the first family of agreements and accompanying guides that form part of its new suite of building contracts and guidance – the new Design and Build Contract and Sub-Contract. This was then followed by the publication of the new Minor Works Building Contracts and guidance.
The JCT is one of the leading producers of standard form building contracts in the UK and its new suite has been in the pipeline for a couple of years. We have produced summaries of the changes introduced into the new Design and Build Contract and the new Minor Works Building Contracts on our website. In addition, the JCT has just announced that the 2024 Edition of its Intermediate Building Contract family will be released in July.
In this seminar, Jane Hughes and Alexandra White will talk through the most important changes – what is new, what is missing and the key take away points for consideration.
