Trowers & Hamlins' commercial disputes team obtained judgment on 15 May 2020 for TWC Aviation Capital Ltd (“TWC”) against Indian airline Jet Lite (India) Ltd (“Jet”).
TWC claimed for breaches of lease agreements for two Boeing 737-800 aircraft leased to Jet. Mr Justice Jacobs' judgment (reported at [2020] EWHC 1272) awarded damages in excess of $24,000,000 to TWC, plus orders for the return of parts and legal costs.
