The Malaysia office of international law firm Trowers & Hamlins has advised Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) on the disposal of its entire equity interest in GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) for a cash consideration of USD100 million.
MAHB has entered into a sale agreement with GMR Airports Limited and a subsidiary of GMR Airports Limited for the sale and purchase of shares representing 11% of the total share capital of GHIAL. GHIAL provides airport management and operations services and is presently managing the operations of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Hyderabad, India and the airport in Bidar in Karnataka, India.
MAHB, a public limited company, acts principally as an investment holding company with its subsidiaries involved in the management, operations, maintenance and provision of airport related services for airports in Malaysia, India and Turkey.
