Scott Cann


Scott has over 15 years' experience in the private wealth sector and has become a valued advisor to families across North and West Devon.

He is based in our Exeter office and regularly travels to clients in their homes throughout Devon.

Specializing in estate planning, wills, probates and powers of attorney, Scott, is often called upon for his expertise in explaining complex legal matters in a simple and down to earth way.

Scott advises trustees and executors on their statutory obligations while also providing general advice to ensure efficient administration of their estates. He advises clients on the availability of particular types of inheritance tax relief (including Agricultural Property Relief (APR) and Business Property Relief (BPR). He works with other professional advisors such as Chartered Accountants and Chartered Financial Planners to ensure a joined up approach to estate planning. He has expertise in agricultural matters advising many farming families on how best to manage the passing down of agricultural property to their loved ones.
