Alex Ford-Cox


Alex is a Senior Associate in the International Corporate Department of Trowers & Hamlins, based in our Abu Dhabi office.

Alex is a technology lawyer and specialist in data protection and privacy with significant experience advising multinational clients in all aspects of data privacy compliance, transactional matters, and regulatory engagement. Alex has acted for a wide variety of multinational technology, social media, and retail organisations, in addition to advising private equity houses and sovereign wealth.

Alex has completed secondments including at a global automotive manufacturer, a listed UK telecoms and retail services company, and an online luxury store. Across both secondments and otherwise, Alex has led and delivered long term, comprehensive data privacy audit programmes, including working closely with key business stakeholders to manage strategic remediations and embed workable compliance.

Prior to joining the firm's Abu Dhabi office, Alex worked at both a leading U.S. law firm and at a top-ranked privacy and cybersecurity team at a global firm, in the City of London.
