Laura Mathews


Laura is an Associate in the Private Wealth team and  specialises in advising on the drafting of Wills appropriate to individual circumstances, which may include advising on trusts, such as life interest Trusts and Discretionary Trust.

Laura also advises on the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney, Enduring Powers of Attorney and General Powers of Attorney, how they operate and the registration formalities with the Office of the Public Guardian.

She also acts on behalf of executors in the administration of estates for taxable and non-taxable estates, and providing advice and assisting in applying for a Grant of Representation.

Laura also deals with deputy matters through the Court of Protection, such as Health and Welfare and Property and Financial Affairs deputy Orders, gifting of property and the removal and appointment of a Trustee.

Other areas Laura advises on are Declarations of Trust in connection with property co-ownership, Deeds of Variation and Inheritance tax advice.

Laura is currently studying STEP diploma in Trusts and Estates, which is a highly recognised private wealth qualification.
