Tom Wrigley


Tom specialises in advising commercial, registered provider, and local authority clients on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious construction-related matters across a variety of sectors and specialisms, including residential and commercial development, hotel and leisure, offsite and modular, and asset management.

Tom's core practice involves providing strategic advice to clients on the management and allocation of risk in construction projects and relationships and, where necessary, on all forms of dispute resolution, including construction litigation and adjudication.

Tom's particular experience includes advising on defects claims, with notable experience on fire-safety defects; general breaches of contract and contract termination; payment disputes, including final account disputes; claims for extensions of time and loss and expense, and the consequences of contractor-insolvency.

Tom also regularly advises on a variety of non-contentious construction matters, with experience negotiating and advising on various forms of industry standard and bespoke building, R&M, and engineering contracts; development, forward funding and forward purchase agreements; professional appointments; bonds; guarantees; escrow agreements; project bank accounts; latent defects insurance policies, and warranties.
