How can we help you?

International law firm Trowers & Hamlins beat off 14 other contenders to win the CILEx Employer of the Year Award. The coveted award recognises a firm's commitment to learning and development, career development, wellbeing, inclusivity and its contribution to the community.

CILEx (The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) is a professional body for legal practitioners, paralegals and apprenticeships, offering a unique route to a legal career and qualifying as a lawyer.

CILEx commended Trowers for their " inclusive, aspirational, non-hierarchical and supportive".

Paul Robinson, Director of HR commented:

"We are delighted to win this award, particularly as we were nominated by one of our employees and we hope that it reflects the importance we attach to the development of our people, both professionally and personally. We strive to stay true to our values, in understanding the pressures people in our sector experience on a daily basis. Our approach to wellbeing, financial, physical and emotional, coupled with our truly inclusive and encouraging approach to career development, starting with school leavers and continuing through to retirement, is a methodology that is great to be recognised for. Seeing this manifested through the success of our CILEx students, is something that the firm is rightfully proud of."
