Claire is a Partner in Projects & Construction in our Exeter office.
Claire has over 15 years of experience advising on construction contracts in the real estate sector and is experienced in the drafting and negotiation of all principal construction contracts and related documents.
She leads the tier 4 ranked (in Legal 500 2021) construction team in Exeter/the South West and acts for a wide range of clients in both the public and private sectors, from developers, registered providers, funds, local authorities, schools and universities, contractors and consultants.
Claire's recent experience includes advising on: the contracts for the development of a hotel in London, high value specialist sub-contracts for the development of a large site on the Strand in London, a hotel in London and a large luxury residential development near Hyde Park; the contracts relating to the construction of a co-living site in Exeter, the contracts relating to the construction of a number of hotels both in the South West, and nationally; and the construction elements of several complex development purchases for registered provider clients.
