Sophie Emerson


Sophie is an associate in Trowers & Hamlins planning, environmental and compulsory purchase team who has a particular focus on advising local authorities, developers and Registered Providers on development and regeneration projects and commercial clients on a wide range of property acquisitions. 

Sophie has significant experience in acting for local authorities in all aspects of planning including negotiating s106 Agreements, highways agreements, compulsory purchase matters, enforcement matters and advising local authorities across the UK in relation to regeneration projects and their acquisition of commercial and residential space.

Sophie also acts for developers, Registered Providers and local authorities on s106 agreements and deeds of variation to s106 agreements and advises on stopping up and diverting public rights of way, carrying out works on common land and other infrastructure agreements.
