Dominic O'Neil


Dominic O'Neil is a consultant legal advisor working with Trowers & Hamlins LLP from the firm's Bahrain office.

Over his 34 years with the firm, Dominic has acted for a broad range of international and locally based corporate clients, financial institutions, public bodies and ultra-high net worth individuals on a variety of corporate, investment, restructuring and corporate finance related matters. Dominic was the co-head of the firm's global private equity group and specialises in private equity investment in infrastructure and infrastructure related projects. He has led teams involved in the successful completion of numerous substantial investments and disposals in the power, petrochemicals, manufacturing, health, education and transport sectors principally in the Middle East, Levant and South East Asia regions.

Dominic has extensive experience of the management and operation of businesses in the Middle East and regularly provides strategic advice to clients on a wide range of issues and challenges. From 2011 to 2015 Dominic was the firm's International Managing Partner, responsible for the oversight and management of all non-UK based business and from 2001 to 2018 he was the Resident Managing Partner of the Bahrain office. He also sat on the firm's Management Board and its Executive Committee for many years. He has worked in the firm's offices in London and Bahrain and was seconded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Bahrain for 4 years.

Dominic is acknowledged as an "Eminent Practitioner" the fields of Corporate and Finance by Chambers and Partners' Global Guide to the Legal Profession. He is recommended in the European Legal 500 guide to "Law Firms in Europe and the Middle East" for his work in the Commercial and Finance sectors. He is also recommended in "The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers", "The International Who's Who of Project Finance Lawyers", "The International Who's Who of Banking Lawyers" and PLC's "Which Lawyers Year Book."
