From time to time businesses as well as individuals will experience financial challenges. Whether it is from increased overheads, debts, creditor pressure or an unexpected event - our team of experienced restructuring and insolvency specialists can help you deal effectively with the issues to secure the best outcome.
With experience in all types of insolvency and restructuring situations and with the expertise in dispute resolution, real estate, banking, corporate and employment we have the knowledge, resource and experience to help you deal quickly and efficiently with all of the issues arising from a restructuring or distressed situation. We advise clients on all contentious insolvency issues, acting on behalf of creditors, directors or the insolvency practitioner in all formal insolvency situations, whether liquidation, administration or company voluntary arrangements (CVA).
We have the expertise and network to assist in obtaining results and commercial solutions and have long-standing relationships with insolvency practitioners at all leading restructuring firms to assist clients in that process. Our wide ranging recent work includes advising in relation to the recent high profile retail CVAs; advising creditors and office holders in high value and complex insolvency estates; and search and seizure proceedings arising out of a multi-million pound fraud. We are also involved in contentious bankruptcy proceedings involving alleged property fraud, sham transactions and void dispositions; through to complex investigations on behalf of liquidators and administrators, breach of duty and antecedent transaction claims and subsequent enforcement and rescinding the liquidation of a large partnership with significant off shore assets.
We also act for a number of banks in relation to distressed debt, particularly in the Middle and Asia, whether that be in relation to the appointment of Receivers or otherwise.
Fundamentally, we understand that businesses need to act fast and make decisions in a challenging situation. By involving us at an early stage, our experts can help you identify problems and promote constructive dialogue with stakeholders as you seek to achieve the best outcome. That may involve a formal insolvency process, refinancing or rescheduling of debt, restructuring your business or obtaining new investment. We can also assist where difficulties arise because of trading issues faced by suppliers or customers.
