Harvey Lavis
Harvey is a Chartered Legal Executive within the Commercial Litigation department based in the Exeter office.
Harvey handles a varied caseload of both Claimant and Defendant work, particularly arising out of accidents which have occurred abroad. He has a particular area of interest in litigated claims being pursued in the Courts of England and Wales; being involved in claims in both the County Court and High Court (QB Division).
He has significant experience and a sound understanding of The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 (in addition to the former Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992); the Montreal Convention 1999; the Athens Convention; and, claims being pursued in accordance with the Lugano Convention 2007.
Harvey also offers advice in relation to the wider insurance market, including Force Majeure clauses and frustration of contracts.
He is an Associate member (ACILEx) of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx).
