International law firm Trowers & Hamlins has advised Paradigm Housing on what is believed to be the affordable housing sector's largest stock swap with the Guinness Partnership.

The stock swap comprised of almost 2,500 occupied homes with Paradigm acquiring 1,388 homes from Guinness in Wycombe, Welwyn Hatfield and the Dacorum local authority areas. Guinness acquired 1,133 homes from Paradigm in Hillingdon and Hounslow.

Trowers & Hamlins provided legal advice to Paradigm from the outset of this project in early 2019 through to completion. The team was lead by partners Jeremy Hunt and Hannah Jackson supported by managing associate Rebecca Gibson and a large team working on this ground breaking project across both the London and Exeter offices.

Real estate partner Jeremy Hunt, commented:

"We are pleased to have advised Paradigm Housing on this landmark stock swap with the Guinness Partnership in a deal that is highly beneficial for both parties."
